Calling All Fairgoers: Last Weekend to Attend the Kentucky State Fair
The 11 best days of summer are drawing to an end – and August 27-29 is the last weekend to attend the Kentucky State Fair. Free concerts, daily shows, entertainment and more are all part of the fun.
Texas Roadhouse Concert Series: FREE with Paid Admission to the Fair

Concerts are held in Parking Lot L with first-come first-serve seating. Gates open one and a half hours before the show. Artist bios are available at kystatefair.org.

World’s Championship Horse Show
Friday, Aug. 27 – Saturday, Aug. 28 in Freedom Hall
Tickets to the richest and most prestigious Saddlebred show in the world are $11 on both Friday, Aug. 27 at 6:30 p.m. and Saturday, Aug. 28 at 7 p.m. Held in conjunction with the Kentucky State Fair, the event draws 2,000 horses that compete for grand champion titles and more than $1 million in awards. Tickets are available at the Freedom Hall Ticket Office and online at Ticketmaster.Tickets DO NOT include Kentucky State Fair gate admission and parking, which can be purchased at the gate or online at kystatefair.org.
Kentucky State Fair Talent Classic Finals
Saturday, Aug. 28, 7 p.m. in South Wing B Rooms 102-104
The Kentucky State Fair Talent Classic Finals feature talented performers age 13-21 competing in the categories of: vocal, instrumental solo or group, dance solo and ensemble, acrobatic or gymnastic solo or group and variety acts.
Gates open at 7 a.m. every day.
Friday, Aug. 27 and Saturday, Aug. 28 exhibits open at 10 a.m. and close at 9 p.m.
Sunday, Aug. 29, exhibits open at 10 a.m. and close at 6 p.m.*
*Some may close earlier.

Fair admission is $10 for all attendees.*
*Children 5 and under are free.
Parking is $10 per vehicle and $20 per bus.
