Michael Berry Invites Kentuckians from all 120 Counties to the Kentucky State Fair

Our love of celebrating and honoring traditions at the Kentucky State Fair is no secret. For 11 unforgettable days, Aug. 20-30, we invite you to join us at the state fair, where county traditions meet our country’s celebration.

In a matter of weeks, our dedicated team will build the largest indoor fair in the country at the Kentucky Exposition Center with acres of experiences inside and around the grounds. We will celebrate our essential agriculture industry and the hardworking Kentucky farmers who make it so special, crown the world’s most prestigious Saddlebreds and honor the commonwealth’s contribution to the American story, from the United We Stand at 250 exhibit to specially themed entry categories.

Many of your favorite events are getting bigger and better this year. The Miller’s Border Collies show has a new home in South Wing C. Stroll through the Pride of the Counties and visit all corners of our state in a single afternoon. Grab a seat in Broadbent Arena and cheer on our youth livestock exhibitors, because nothing at the fair makes me prouder than the hard work of those young people and the families behind them. Be sure to make time for the moments that happen only once each year, like the Largest Pumpkin and Watermelon Contest and the Sunshine Class. There is something around every corner of these grounds. While you’re here, you will also catch a glimpse of the largest expansion and renovation in our history, including a 350,000-square-foot wing opening at the end of this year. We are grateful for Team Kentucky’s significant investments in these grounds. This project builds on the New Kentucky Home initiative by expanding agriculture, tourism and economic development opportunities to attract more people to the commonwealth to visit, work and live.
