New Latin Music Fest Invites Kentuckians To Celebrate Last Day of the Fair 

LouCity Meet & Greet, Salsa Dancing, and Music Performances The Kentucky State Fair announced Latin Music Fest, a brand-new activation taking place on the last day of the Fair, August 27. Fairgoers are invited to celebrate aspects of the Commonwealth’s Latin community with events such as salsa dancing, meet and greet with soccer players, and musical performances throughout the day in The BIG Tent.   Fairgoers can start their morning meeting with members of Louisville City FC at 10 a.m. Bring souvenirs, shirts, and other memorabilia to get signed, or snap a photo with your favorite players. In the afternoon, Meraki Dance Company will host open mini classes at 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. to teach fairgoers the steps to traditional Latin dances. All experience levels are welcome to participate.   In between lessons and kicking-off the evening activities, attendees can groove to the classic sounds of Latin music as MasFlow Band takes the stage inside The BIG Tent at 2:00 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. To round out the evening and the final night of the Kentucky State Fair, Brazeros Musical De Durango will take the stage at 7:00 p.m.   Latin Fest is in partnership with Latin Music Awards KY and is included with Kentucky State Fair admission.      El Kentucky State Fair anunció el Festival de Música Latina, una nueva activación que se llevará a cabo el último día de la Feria, el 27 de agosto. Last Week For Early Bird Tickets

The Kentucky State Fair announced this week as the final week to purchase $9 early bird tickets, which include parking. Early bird tickets are on sale at participating Kroger locations around the state, online at kystatefair.org, and at the Kentucky Exposition Center Ticket Office through Friday, August 4. Prices go up to $10 on August 5. This year’s fair is “Summer Summed Up,” offering local entertainment, thrilling rides, and mouthwatering food that the whole family is sure to enjoy. Kentucky State Fair Begins Hiring for August Event

With the Kentucky State Fair just over one month away, the event announced open job interviews to fill hundreds of positions with responsibilities ranging from guest services to operations.  Starting Tuesday, July 11th, and every Tuesday and Thursday remaining in July at Broadbent Arena, Kentucky Venues will invite applicants to explore over a dozen roles needed for the Kentucky State Fair. Applicants will be offered on-the-spot interviews and positions. Interviews will take place from 10 a.m. through 7 p.m. Applicants can also visit the state fair website at http://kystatefair.org/join-our-team/ and apply by August 3. Applications will be considered on a first-come, first-served basis.   “We work year-round to make sure every aspect of the Kentucky State Fair is the best it can be,” said David S. Beck, President & CEO of Kentucky Venues, which produces the fair. “It’s no secret that our success relies heavily on our team, which is why we take time to find the right people to enhance the guest experience and enjoyment of the fair.”  The fair will hire temporary positions in multiple areas, including Access Control/Gates, Guest Services, Operations, and Traffic Control. Positions range in pay from $12.05 to $13.50 per hour with opportunity for overtime pay. No experience is necessary, but applicants must be at least 18 years old, able to stand for long periods inside or outside, and able to work around crowds.  Interested applicants should enter the Kentucky Exposition Center through Gate 4 and park in Lot J. There will be signs outside Broadbent Arena directing applicants. Applicants need two forms of identification: one with a photo and a social security card. Special Days Return to the Kentucky State Fair

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (June 27, 2023) – Back by popular demand, the Kentucky State Fair is offering special ticketed days. The fair runs August 17-27, 2023, and will offer fairgoers discounts on multiple days. Some discounts will pertain to specific individuals, while one day will offer every fairgoer a chance to attend the fair for a discounted rate.  Special promotional days are as follows:  Thursday, August 17: County Fairs Day  Come one, come all 120 Kentucky counties. We will highlight winners from county pageants and competitions and have special activities planned throughout the day. Sunday, August 20: Military Sunday  Active military and veterans, as well as their families, can attend the fair for free. Military ID is required. There is a limit of four free tickets, and parking is not included. Wristbands for Thrill Ville will be discounted 20% and available on-site. There is a limit of 6 wristbands per valid military ID.  Monday, August 21: $5 Monday  Those looking for a big bargain won’t want to miss this day. The $5 admission is per person and includes parking.  Tuesday, August 22: Senior Day  Senior Day allows anyone 55 and older to enter the fair for free. Parking is not included. Special activities will be planned throughout the day.  Wednesday, August 23: Sensory Awareness Day  In partnership with Kissel Entertainment, FEAT of Louisville, Home of the Innocents, and Kentucky Autism Training Center, free admission and Thrill Ville tickets will be given to fairgoers with sensory processing differences. From 10 a.m. until noon, Thrill Ville will operate with minimal lights and music to create an enjoyable fair experience for those with sensory sensitivities. Limited tickets are available. Kentucky State Fair 2023 Kick-Off
