Special Days Return to the Kentucky State Fair

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (June 27, 2023) – Back by popular demand, the Kentucky State Fair is offering special ticketed days. The fair runs August 17-27, 2023, and will offer fairgoers discounts on multiple days. Some discounts will pertain to specific individuals, while one day will offer every fairgoer a chance to attend the fair for a discounted rate.  Special promotional days are as follows:  Thursday, August 17: County Fairs Day  Come one, come all 120 Kentucky counties. We will highlight winners from county pageants and competitions and have special activities planned throughout the day. Sunday, August 20: Military Sunday  Active military and veterans, as well as their families, can attend the fair for free. Military ID is required. There is a limit of four free tickets, and parking is not included. Wristbands for Thrill Ville will be discounted 20% and available on-site. There is a limit of 6 wristbands per valid military ID.  Monday, August 21: $5 Monday  Those looking for a big bargain won’t want to miss this day. The $5 admission is per person and includes parking.  Tuesday, August 22: Senior Day  Senior Day allows anyone 55 and older to enter the fair for free. Parking is not included. Special activities will be planned throughout the day.  Wednesday, August 23: Sensory Awareness Day  In partnership with Kissel Entertainment, FEAT of Louisville, Home of the Innocents, and Kentucky Autism Training Center, free admission and Thrill Ville tickets will be given to fairgoers with sensory processing differences. From 10 a.m. until noon, Thrill Ville will operate with minimal lights and music to create an enjoyable fair experience for those with sensory sensitivities. Limited tickets are available. Texas Roadhouse Concert Series 2023 Lineup is Set

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (May 31, 2023) – The Kentucky State Fair Texas Roadhouse Concert Series lineup is set. Joining the lineup are The Oak Ridge Boys with special guest T.G. Sheppard, Vince Neil the Legendary Voice with special guest Autograph, and Warren Zeiders with special guest JD Shelburne.   With 24 different artists, the fair is sure to have something for everyone on the Texas Roadhouse Concert Series stage. Among the artists are four from Kentucky: Alex Miller, Eddie Montgomery or Montgomery Gentry, JD Shelburne, and The Kentucky Headhunters. Kentucky State Fair 2023 Kick-Off

May 17, 2023 — There’s no place like the Kentucky State Fair where you can find “summer summed up.” The beloved annual event deeply rooted in the heart of Kentucky showcases the best of the Bluegrass. This year promises to be bigger, better, and more thrilling than ever, with the inaugural BEERFEST and major concerts that will elevate the Fair experience for all fairgoers.   From August 17-27, the Kentucky State Fair will offer many of its beloved attractions like AgLand, delicious fried food, and a wide array of entertainment options that cater to all fairgoers. David S. Beck, president and CEO of Kentucky Venues, which produces the Kentucky State Fair, shared the 2023 theme, “Summer Summed Up,” with the community at a celebration event Wednesday.  “The fair has been a staple of Kentucky’s cultural heritage for generations, and this year’s event is set to continue the tradition of creating unforgettable experiences for fairgoers,” said David S.
