All Things Kentucky All in One Place
The Kentucky State Fair is just a few months away, happening August 14-24, 2025. As the excitement ramps up, the fair is announcing its campaign, All Things Kentucky All in One Place, with the promise of highlighting traditional favorites like the Texas Roadhouse Concert Series, livestock shows, Kentucky Proud food, and competitive entries.
As the fair celebrates its 121st event and a plethora of Kentucky’s rich heritage, it’s recognizing the celebration of the 250th anniversary of Daniel Boone and his company of men and women blazing the Wilderness Road into Kentucky in 1775. The Wilderness Road angled across the center of Kentucky from the Cumberland Gap to the Falls of the Ohio River. In fact, part of the Wilderness Road runs along the eastern edge of the Kentucky Exposition Center along Preston Highway. A special exhibition at this year’s fair, part of the America250KY project, will feature the stories and artifacts of Kentucky’s early settlers in the context of the American Revolution and the founding of the United States. This exhibit will be viewable in the South Wing.
